I am Brent Kelly and I am surrounded by women. This used to be a dream of mine, but with a wife and three daughters I am sometimes overwhelmed. As Jeff Foxworthy once said, “I am swimming in the estrogen ocean.”
I do get out of the ocean on occasion and am an agent with Clemens & Associates Insurance. I have been dabbling in social media for a while and recently started a blog called, Insurance Tales. This has been a great learning experience, but has allowed me to interact and get feedback from a whole new audience.
How do you walk the talk re: social media?
Twitter, Facebook, Linked-In, Blogging. I still feel like I am new in the social media world, but I am challenging myself to learn something new every day.
What one practical tip can you recommend regarding the use of social media?
Be who you are!! Don’t be someone else in the social media world vs. who you are in person. Let your true personality shine.
What do you think is the perfect age?
I love the ages of 3-4. Seeing both of my two oldest daughters go through this age recently, I have come to appreciate how authentic this age can be. That age brings unlimited imagination with little fear (which can be scary as a parent). They dream bigger, laugh louder, and get right back up when they get knocked down. You can learn a lot from a toddler:)
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
I like some boy band music. There, I said it. Leave me alone. ”Bye Bye Bye”
What are you really good at?
Talking at length. I have a problem with leaving really long voice mails. I suppose that’s not a good thing.
Name one thing you will never understand.
Share something on your mind lately.
Gratitude. Per Tim Sanders, “Exercise your gratitude muscle.”
