I’m a lawyer, husband, and father of two, and I’m resisting the urge to quote “The Joker” here. I love music, sports, barbecuing, and hanging out with family and friends. You will sadly note that my shoe has lost its tassels, yet I am stubbornly wearing it anyway!
How do you walk the talk re: social media?
I try to utilize social media as a tool for relationship building and to follow up with face-to-face, personal connections as much as possible. I believe that if you try to use social media as a justification to put in your marketing/networking time without having to leave the office, you’re kidding yourself.
What one practical tip can you recommend regarding the use of social media?
Regardless of your privacy settings, don’t post anything in any social media setting that you wouldn’t mind being public knowledge. Never use social media as an outlet to vent.
What do you think is the perfect age?
Nothing like the present! Enjoy every day to the fullest!
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
I enjoy being a lawyer, even to the point of getting jazzed about geeky lawyer stuff, like finding a typo in a contract.
What are you really good at?
I’m really good at problem solving and helping to find “win-win” solutions. Also, I’m really good at smoking ribs!
Name one thing you will never understand.
How the Cubs managed to lose the 2003 NLCS.
Share something on your mind lately.
One of the things I help people with in my practice is estate planning and wills Lately I’ve had a lot of conversations about why it is so important to have a will, even if you are young and don’t think you have a valuable estate.
its very cool that you get geeked out about being an attorney and enjoy what it is that you do. It shows!
