Marty is passionate about writing. This leads to his love for tweeting and blogging, which he does on his personal blog three times a week. Marty uses Facebook and Twitter in order to push out his blog and write about current events. He is especially fascinated with social media because it is the next evolution of communication. New generations communicate in different ways and he is interested in how society adapts to these changes. Marty is the Chief Executive Officer at the Economic Development Council of Bloomington-Normal. He manages an organization that helps to attract new businesses to the area and help existing businesses grow.
