@Midwest announces a call for speakers
@Midwest is seeking speakers for their 3rd annual social media conference to be held June 6–7, 2013, at Heartland Community College’s Astroth Community Education Center. @Midwest is a two-day forum where experts address small to mid-sized business professionals who are creating a social media presence or enhancing current practices. The conference is seeking experts and business professionals willing to serve as a session speakers. There are presently six speaking positions available.
This year’s @Midwest conference is looking for speakers who approach topics in a fun, educational manner. Topics may include, but are not limited to:
- Maximizing your brand image
- Influencing customer perceptions
- Writing clearly for a social audience
- Measuring your ROI
- Workshop on application development
- Social media monitoring
- Social media “how”-to information
- Topics suggested by speakers
Speakers should provide professionals with the necessary skills to use social media as a tool to grow their business. In addition, session speakers may address various attendee skill levels. Each session will be viewed by approximately 40-50 attendees and will last an hour. If you are interested in adding your expertise and skills to @Midwest, submit your idea(s) online. @Midwest came to fruition after a series of meetings between professionals in the Bloomington-Normal area discussing issues surrounding the best practices of social media and ways to evaluate social media marketing. The goal of @Midwest is for all attendees to gain real-world, practical knowledge on utilizing social media in achieving their professional goals.
